A school textbook featuring Saddam Hussein lies in a storage closet in the Bayariq Al Nasir Boys and Girls School in Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq. A card made by a student at the school for the former dictator reads "A thousand congratulations, Mr. Leader." The card was made for him after his reported election victory in which he garnered 100 percent of the Iraqi vote in 2002. The school curriculum under the previous Ba'thist regime forced schools to focus the children's learning on the history of the party and its ousted leader.
